Event Title:Blended Mobility of Young People Workshop

Fields: Youth education

Activity Type: SP HE SHORT Short term joint staff training events

Event description: The 6th UpCreate Learning, Teaching and Training Activity (C6) will be held in November 2022 at the International Art Biennale 2022 in Venice, Italy and will be facilitated by the leading partner, Aalborg University (AAU) and AMAT. The place is selected for its extraordinary facilities and venues for the type of workshop planned, and because several of the partners have previously facilitated similar successful activities as Sessions at the Biennale. The activity type of C6 will be a Blended Mobility of Young People event, and the duration will be 5 working days and will be scheduled in a way to ensure the easiest and most cost effective travel itinerary for the participating young people. The activity is planned as a physical event, but due to the current COVID-19 situation, the MC will keep a close eye on the situation and will be ready to employ the contingency plans that have been made in the preparation phase (see the section Preparation). If the event is conducted as a physical event as planned, the hosting partners, AAU and AMAT, will ensure that everything is facilitated in a way to ensure that all activities are conducted in the safest way possible for all participants.
Importantly, the Blended Mobility of Young People event will be held in conjunction and parallel with C5 the 5th UpCreate Short-term joint staff training event. This will result in some activities and sessions conducted in parallel, and some activities and sessions conducted with participating partners and young people blended.

The participants of C6 will be the young participants who have developed the winning proposals in the UpCreate Competitions (IO2-IO6). If participants are underage, the necessary precautions and safety measures will be followed (see the Section: How will you select, prepare and support participants and ensure their safety? for detailed information on this) The event will function as a workshop where representatives from the partner institutions will supervise their respective winner in a formal and informal learning environment to further develop their winning proposals. This assignment will focus on recontextualising the innovative solutions for the new context at the International Art Biennale 2022 in Venice. The workshop will take the form of a friendly competitive format, aiming at further developing and subsequently identify the UpCreate proposal that in the best way showcases the social innovative solution regarding our European cultural heritage. This friendly competitive environment will ensure the young innovators will acquire competencies that utilize creativity and innovation enabling them to take the position as local entrepreneurs in their local environments around Europe. The presentation of results will take place during the final Multiplier Event (E7), which will be the Session at the International Art Biennale 2022 in Venice.
During the workshop, all UpCreate partners will continuously engage with the young participants by facilitating lectures in the plenum and individual supervision. This, to ensure that each participant will receive feedback on the development of their contributions, and to secure an iterative process regarding the learning outcome, as well as a social interactive possibility.

The Venue at the International Art Biennale 2022 in Venice allows the participating partners and the young innovators to interact with the art interested audience visiting the Biennale. By interacting with the audience, the innovative solutions will be renewed and improved in a co creation and participatory approach in a synergy between the young innovators, the partners, and the audience.
